Discover The American Story, as cellist Sergey Antonov and pianist Ilya Kazantsev celebrate the launch of their long-awaited CD with a program of music by Amy Beach, Frederick Converse, Paul Creston, and Samuel Barber. Two musicians, two American journeys—and an unexpected reunion in the corridors of Carnegie Hall. Friends since third grade, they will share stories of their deeply personal connection to the music throughout the concert. At the heart of this launch is a recording premiere: Converse’s remarkable, long-neglected Cello Sonata.
